Nice complex. Well taken care of. The units are a little older, but it's a nice place to stay. Close to the beach and lots of things to do. Overall, worth a try for sure.

The condo is outdated but the view is spectacular! It comes with all the amenities you can ever need and you can walk to the beach to see the sunset!
It's centrally located to shopping centers, restaurants and fruit stands.
We had a good time and enjoyed our stay.

The security guy will come kick you out of the hot tub if you have been in it longer than 20 minutes as well as harassing you for anything he can find. We have been coming here for a long time, this has us now looking for a new place to stay. Not very enjoyable being harassed for staying in the hot tub longer than 20 minutes, or if your kid is under 18 they better be accompanied by you as well, even if you are on your balcony watching them. This guy or this new whatever just turned a good fun enjoyable place into a place we don't even want to be at. 5 other parties here feel the same way

This hotel is at a perfect location. The staff is super nice and friendly. The hotel offers bicycles that you can use for 3 hrs and check the gift shops, coffee shops and other restaurants in the area. The room was spacious with lanai. Water and coffee available. The restaurant on site was reasonable priced and food was perfect. Happy hrs on cocktails hit the spot. We will definitely stay there again

As a kama'aina, being able to stay at a hotel that was near the beach during my quick island hopping get away was a must-have. The Maui Coast Hotel is easy to access, lots of parking, check-in and check-out was smooth and the amenities were awesome! The rooms, which were clean and had the right amount of space, were perfect for us to relax in the evening, as we took in the beautiful sights of Maui during the day. I would highly recommend staying here!

Stayed here for a week!! Loved the view from the Lanai. Only drawback was the Unit did not have AC in the bedroom, they had a window AC in the living room. So took couple days for the entire house to cool down. Otherwise a great house with beach access, beach toys, chairs etc. Designated parking lot was a plus.

Host is really friendly and helpful to us. She provided everything we asked for. She responds very quickly. I strongly recommend this place. Also this very convenient for all the Maui island activities. Nearby you can find many restaurants and gas stations.

I've been coming here since 1992. This place is lovely, they've kept up with all the Landscaping, the staff are excellent oh, and the units have everything you need. You don't have to cross the street to go to the beach. I don't have kids now, but in 1992 it was cool to have a little tub for the kiddies to shed all the sand, and relax after a day out on the road. BBQ by the pool, take a spa while dinner is cooking oh, and the best sunsets ever. What more could you want? Much better than the high-rise Hotels. Truly a lovely place and inexpensive as well! Give it a shot. Prove me wrong.

I absolutely loved Luana Kai! Right on the ocean with beautiful views. I will say they only provide you with two rolls of toilet paper and then you have to buy it from there. If you’re staying a week+ it’s not too big of a deal, but still weird. They also charge $25 a night for AC so if you ARE staying over a week, that’s pretty spendy so we ended up not utilizing the AC. The tenants in B305 are not welcoming or polite in the slightest, so that was very frustrating as well. Other than that, we had a great stay and I would recommend! Everything was very clean, the pool and hot tub were wonderful.

I have stayed at this wonderful place many times. The complex is right on the ocean with a wide expanse of grass. Our unit this time was on the ground floor facing to sea. We had coffee and breakfast every morning to the sound of birds. The staff understand the aloha spirit. Every time we had a request they went out of their way to help. This is not a new, luxury complex. If you want that head to Kaanapali and pay many times the rate. This is very comfortable place where you feel like you at at home. We will return again and again

Direct oceanfront condo complex, all rooms have a full, unobstructed, straight-on ocean view. No peaking around the corner or off to the side l to catch it. Nice lush lawn with palm trees is the only thing between you and the magnificent South Pacific ocean. Sunsets are right there on your lanai. It's an older complex but well maintained, and many of the units have been completely remodeled and include air conditioning. Elevator, washer/dryer in the unit, floor to ceiling glass along the entire ocean facing side of your unit. Located in Kihei, very central and near beaches, restaurants, shopping, and under 15 minutes to the airport. Great place!

Stayed there twice ;once for a month and once for 10 weeks.I’d go back tomorrow! If you have a problem …maintenance is there in a jiffy . It overlooks the ocean and looking out you can see part of Maui plus Lanaii and Kahoolawe plus below is a well kept lawn with palm trees and flowers and a small sandy beach to walk til you drop! The pool is very small and children are in short supply..better for people who want a restful vacation with a slower lifestyle. We’ve done all the tourist sights and at our age less is mo betta! They say Maui is for the newly wed or nearly dead..at 75 and 80 we take it slow! If you need more action and a huge pool…Maui Sunset is a better fit.Both are in Kihei.

A wonderful place with an absolutely stunning view. The one bedroom condo I stayed in was perfect, with all the amenities I could want. All units have a large, wonderful lanai that faces the water running the entire width of the condo. Many restaurants are close enough to walk to in only a short time. All in all, an absolutely wonderful experience.

Always stay at Kohea Kai for my twice a month Work trip and always satisfied. Last week Tuesday after working in Kahului I headed to Kihei only to find major flood damage and road closures to get to Kohea Kai. Called the front desk and as usual the Excellent Staff there directed me a different route to get through the mud and arrive safely. Here is what Customer Service is like from Kohea Kai, I had called a couple of times as multiple road closures were on the way and they even cleaned me back to make sure I was finding my way (very heavy traffic due to closures) I was greeted with a smile early in the evening and my room was perfect as always. Then I realized I was the only person staying there that night and they made a point of staying late just to make sure I arrived and was able to check in. This is the kind of Customer Service that you don't see anymore. Kohea Kai is the best. Recommend for everyone

Stayed in the 1 king bedroom. Bathroom and floor are up to date. Room itself could use some upgrades. Parking is very small. It was either back into your parking spot or back out if you pulled in straight. Staff was friendly and helpful. Short walk across the street to access the beach.

1. Location is decent. Airport is about 20 minutes. Kihei and Wailea beaches are nearby.
2. Price is slightly on the lower side (for Maui)
3. Functional kitchen.
4. Split AC in rooms.
5. Park your cars close to your rooms.

Cons
1. Lack of Amenities.
2. Cockroaches in rooms.
3. No direct ocean access.
4. Ongoing constructions nearby.

If you want a wonderful place with tons of extras and if you're willing to pay they're willing to meet your needs very helpful you want to make sure that you're spending your time enjoying not booking and running around trying to find out things and plan things to do just ask and they would do their best to make it as easy as possible and the place is just gorgeous

Nice to be so close to beach but a little far from the nightlife. Very convenient location for getting around the island. Units are reasonably well stocked and a good size.

Very good food at very reasonable prices. Server was kind enough to let us know about Happy hour specials even though we were seated 5 minutes before the specials would have expired. This was above and beyond for obvious tourists that would not be regulars. My picky eater teenagers enjoyed everything we ordered. Would definitely recommend and would be a go to if I lived on the island.

Dragonfly roll was really good.
Having read reviews on Yelp this definitely is more Sushi fusion.
The short rib was small portion covered with non crispy Brussels sprouts with instant tasting mash potatoes.
Was hungry nonetheless so I ate it.

Ain’t cheap 3 items incl 2 rolls and short rib I could not taste any red wine braise was $90

Just not a good experience. Very dismissive. Wanted something shipped from the mainland… “Call the mainland”.!First thing she wanted to do was tell me how much it was gonna cost just to hold the packages… and how long they were gonna be inconvenienced holding them for me.

Absolutely… no help.

I was thinking perhaps she was just having a bad day… but judging by the comments, sounds like par for the course?

Should just put a sign on the door that says “Go to FedEx!”

We had such a blast on our 2 tank Molikini Dive. It was the highlight of our trip to Maui! The boat itself was very comfortable, and the gear we borrowed was good quality and clean. However, what really stood out compared to the other Maui dive shops was the crew. Jake was our dive master, and he did a fantastic job; even though we are new divers, we felt comfortable the entire time! Nick was the other dive master who we also talked to, and he was so nice and welcoming. Luke was a wonderful captain and did a great job of spotting and pointing out humpback whales! I hope we get to come back to Maui to dive again, and we would be sure to do it through Maui Dive Shop.

Maui Dive shop is a great dive operation. They have a good captain and crew. Awesome service and dive guides. They give very good boat and dive briefings. Their detailed explanations are beneficial for all divers of all abilities.

You must be high to not give this place 5 stars. The food is incredibly good, big typical American-sized portions and the cold brew coffee is perfect. Mac nut french toast or Benedict is absolutely good! The outdoor seating area is quaint and feels local and welcoming. Staff were very friendly, efficient and the seating was always clean and well stocked at the tables. The wait is due to the fact that it is the best breakfast in Kihei but they do their best to get you through the line quick and you get served fast. Eat here!

Breakfast here was absolutely delicious. Went here twice. First time I got a breakfast burrito which was wonderful. Their strawberry lemonade is also great. Highly recommend going here. Their 2-2-2 breakfast was fresh and amazing. I got it with french toast. Although there is a long line it moves so fast so don't pick somewhere else to go.

Nice spot for local fare. I think there is always a line… which is a testament to how good the food is. Line moves quickly. This is not the place for a long lingering meal. Enjoy your meal and the moment… then move along to allow others to do the same.

not very pleasant clerks and it took over an hour to pick up the car. they wouldn't let us all come in the office which was fine then they ask my teenage daughter who was watching our 6 suitcases to move everything since it was blocking their signage??? she refused so they moved the sign duh. its supposed to be easier not as hard as possible

They are the best!! Have rented cars from them at least 4 or 5 times and have always been extremely satisfied. SO much easier and stress-free than renting at the airport! Very nice people, shuttle service to/from airport, great prices. Many of the cars are a bit older and may have a dent or two, but if you just need a reliable car to get you around the island and would like terrific customer service – this is the place for you.

The van we rented was older, but in great condition. The costs for a van from the major car rental companies were significantly higher, even if they even had a van available! The shuttle pick up and drop off worked well for us. The staff was helpful and very friendly. I would recommend renting your car/van from them.
